WOOHOO! JAY CHOU!!

Actually until now, i still don’t know if this was an impulse purchase, since jay chou only appear for like 30-45 minutes and sang only 6-7 songs?

Okay, but i still gotta admit i was really happy to see him, and feel the concert atmosphere! I really really really hope to go to his concert at Taipei one day… arrr.. was almost SO CLOSE to want to go for his concert in kaoshiung this December… but i guess, the high air tix price really puts me off.. so well, i shall wait for his next concert in TAIPEI. ++++ I really can’t wait for his album release in Nov!

Honestly, at least 90% of the crowd go for this concert for Jay Chou.. so obvious!

My bf helped me took quite a bit of videos of the concert but i’m too lazy to upload.

So yup.. i’m just going to attach some of the videos from youtube here :p

we went swensens cos’ we bought the 50% voucher and its expiring in sept!

Luckily there wasn’t any crowd at 5+ on weekdays.We took leave that day btw…

I really couldn’t decide what to eat and ended up with once-my-favourite-caesar salad!

the bowl was SO HUGE!

i finally wore this pair of wedges out and i swear it hurts badly

i only had like 3 bites and stopped.. no more sweet tooth as i grew older.

we walked to MBS after dinner to catch Lion King Musical! My first musical play!

Reminds me a bit of hong kong

Lion King is really quite nice though i have to admit that some parts were draggy and i can’t seem to appreciate musical play more than concerts. i love concerts!

Speaking of which, I’m attending the LOUD festival concert on 7th Oct!

Can’t wait to see Jay Chou once again!

Cityview hotel is just next to Yau Ma Tei MTR, and walkable distance from mongkok!

Laoban’s tau huay’s idea was from the famous milk pudding dessert in hongkong.

looking at this pic, makes me feel like tabaoing from Jurong Point’s Ji De Chi

It was like a war zone here.so pack, so noisy.We have to share a table of 4 with another 2 strangers.i don’t exactly know what they are famous for…guess we ordered the wrong stuffs?
the carrot cake is so thick, i really don’t quite like it.

the boyfriend is an unhappy man here.but this place is really highly raved! for i duno-what-reason.

Total spending for this trip (including air tix + accomodation) = $1,062.50!

Went to the famous “Tim Ho Wan” for dimsum!

this place seems highly raved in blogs and forums.. a must-go in hong kong!

the queueing part might totally ruin ur plan of dining there

U will have to take a queue number first and then expected to go loiter around for like 2 hours before coming back.

We went there on monday morning… and needs to wait like 2 hours.So u can imagine going there on weekends.They will issue u their menu with ur queue number on the menu

This place is really cheap and good!

minus the loooongggg wait! But u can walk around mongkok area while waiting…Open from 10am – 9.30pmThey have 2 branches actually.. i duno where’s the other one.

After we took the queue number at “Tim Ho Wan”, we went to my favourite egg tart place – Tai Cheong Bakery @ Grand Century Place!

not hot leh, but still nice!shopping!!! i’m really not a shopping person…

was contemplating whether to buy birks at hong kong cos’ my feet really hurts with the covered shoes + hong kong is really cheap for its birks!!!

My colleague just told me its the same price as the manufacturing country (sorry forgot which country).

After u done some conversion, the price is actually abt the same at footshopping or slightly cheaper @ hong kong.

The reason why i contemplated for some time whether to buy birks was because i’ve already owned 4 birks at home!

i bought them like during my uni days… cos’ they were really comfy and can last u for a long long time!

So anyway, i also couldn’t decide if i want the black polka dots, or the red polka dots.:S

Both are nice actually…. argh

But i’m still kinda glad i finally decided on the red polka dots.

It was actually OOS and they have to transfer the birks from another outlet…Its about SG$70 nett anyway

Think i probably should bring one of my birks and put in my office too… cos’ my colleagues commented that my mphosis slippers got no more sole. its like as if u are stepping ur foot bare on the ground.

Its the boy’s actual birthday! but i’m quite a bad girlfriend cos’ i didn’t prepare anything special on this day.

Prior to this trip, i did try researching for some nice dinner place for his birthday.. but came to concluded that the romantic dinner place that people recommend are italian restaurant. so i was thinking coming to hk for italian a bit sala.. so decided to drop the idea. Afterall, this 5D4N trip is his birthday ‘present’ already.. :p

actually i bought him a birthday present 2-3 months back… the head porter camera bag which i asked my colleague to help me get from japan. very nice camera bag which i like personally!! its the bag that he carried for this trip

We reached there at about 10.55am, super long queue!

FYR, they start their dim sum at 11am.. there’s a super long queue after 11.30am like there’s about 20 people in the queue.

our most expensive meal! but frankly speaking, we over-ordered!

IFC Mall is located at Central MTR

Came here for the huge agnes b shop!

Went to my bf’s must-go place: SPACE Warehouse!

its about 30min – 45mins bus trip from Central interchange.

cheap! less than SGD$700

Cle de peau is about 15-20% cheaper than sing! They are famous for their super ex makeup pdts.

I bought their make-up base as its highly raved online! about SG$87.. SG is selling at $105

Dinner was settled at this place call “澳門翠苑茶餐廳” recommended on openrice.

yummy curry rice! the portion is too huge so i shared with the boyfriend. About SG$8, comes with soup + drink.

the locals there seems to have quite huge appetite, the ladies can finish one portion by themselves!

♥♥ Hong Kong Trip for the Birthday Boy (Day 1 – Cityview Hotel, Citygate, Elements, Mongkok) ♥♥ September 3, 2011

A surprise 5D4N (26th Aug – 30th Aug) birthday trip that i’ve planned for the birthday boy.

It was really tough keeping a secret for 2 months and having to remind my close frens ard me not to bicha lobang the surprise for the boy.

the toughest has got to be my DADDY..! lol

Only told the boy that i’m bringing him overseas 1 week before the trip, but not revealing the destination! so that he can start to pack the luggage. I kept telling him we are traveling via coach, but he will need to bring those big luggage cos’ i need to carry some things back from that mystery place… what a lousy reason but i really can’t think of any!

The surprise destination was to be kept till we reached the airport, and during check-in… TA-DAH!

but my surprise bicha lobang about 10 mins before we reached the airport because Cathay sent him a notification SMS about the flight.

*diao*

Anyway, really thanks to all my frens who co-operated!! and my laoban who suggested such brilliant surprise trip idea to me!

Reached our hotel in about 45 mins time – CityView hotel @ Yau Ma Tei!

Have to wait at the lobby for about an hour for a room.. yawns…

we got the room @ highest storey!

We got upgraded to the executive room FOC!

The first thing we did is to wash up and SLEEP!!

We had 3-4 hours of powernap before we moved on for some shopping!

First stop – City Gate @ Tung Chung MTR

(Outlets shopping mall)

Polo ralph was having some sales and was really cheap.

$60 for a guy’s polo tee!

Next stop – Elements Shopping Mall @ Kowloon

A pretty new shopping mall with all the high-end / mid-end brands like H&M, Longchamp, etc. etc.

Didn’t really shop here except to get a longchamp bag for my colleague.

Late lunch was settled @ Triple-O’s!

as much as possible we shd NOT be eating fast food in HK… but heard raves about the burger…

Super expensive for fastfood.. about $20 sing!!

but the portion was huge!

end of the day was settled at mongkok area~

How can we missed out “Xu Liu Shan” Mango dessert?!

I just realize i only ate once there… didn’t have mango cravings much when we were there.

but we drank Gong Cha everyday and even twice a day!

too cheap to resist!! imagine its just $2.xx for the LARGE drink?! so cheap!

BUT, destination was unknown until he reached the airport :p
